Maple: A True American Hero

As the United States and the Obama Administration move away from more hawkish foreign policy and defense decisions, Americans have been looking to find heroes and role models that possess both great strength and the ability to know when to use it.

Engineered Maple flooring is that hero.

At first sight, Maple might seem mild-mannered. With its light, cream colored appearance, people might look at Maple and say “He got straight A’s in high school and university and is headed straight on to medical school.”

But what they don’t know is that Maple could take Red Oak in a barroom brawl any day. And has, although they’ve since patched things up in the name of solidarity among American domestic species.

Maple weighs in at about 1450lbs on the Janka hardness scale. Red Oak, on the other hand, a slightly namby-pambier 1290lbs. Hickory, Maple’s rough-around-the-edges compadre and partner in crime-fighting, does sport a higher Janka hardness rating, weighing in at 1820lbs, although sometimes the two have their differences.  It’s almost as if Maple and Hickory have a  similar dynamic as another set of super hero teammates.

You know it’s right there.

Just can’t quite…

Maple and Hickory

put my finger on it…

Maple and Hickory

Well, I’m sure it’ll come to me. Suffice it to say, Maple hardwood flooring is a great way to combat a dull floor that even your cove base is calling passé. Grown in the US of A, you can even feel patriotic while you’re walking on it. What’s not to love?

Cue up the national anthem at full blast, get out your Barack Obama t-shirts, and unleash flocks of latte-caffeinated bald eagles, because every day is the 4th of July with Maple flooring, a true American hero.
